Qualcomm and Ericsson Run a Demo of LTE-U in China
The 5G with a breakthrough in one enabling technology has been paved by Qualcomm and Ericsson. This technologically advanced system now involves taking the unlicensed spectrum used by Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and uses it for 5G purpose, particularly in indoor networks.
The chip market in collaboration with the equipment vendor together demonstrated the LTE-unlicensed services. This can harness both unlicensed and licensed parts of the 5 Ghz spectrum to support a data throughout 300 Mbps.

Production Resumes at Foxconn Factory
A huge assembly factory in China, owned by iPhone assembler Foxconn, resumed production today amidst beefed up security arrangements. The management was forced to shut down the factory after a riot broke-out on Sunday late evening, which saw a clash between 2000 workers.
