HTC has decided to release two new Windows based handsets by early November. The Company has joined hands with Microsoft to introduce these handsets that are powered by Windows Phone 8 and are called Windows 8X and Windows 8S.
The HTC 8S features include 512 MB memory and 1Ghz Core Qualcomm S4 chip, 5 megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash and 4GB onboard storage whereas the HTC 8X includes specifications of a Qualcomm S41.5 GHz dual core processor, 1 GB RAM, and 16 GB RAM. The 8X is more focused on providing a better audio quality phone rather than concentrating on style. The 8X will support 3.5 mm headphones with an increased voltage of 1.5V and an amplifier which delivers over 2.5V that gives better quality volume.
Both the 8S and 8X are fitted with HTC’s ‘Beats’ audio software that calculate capability of audio output and provide enhanced quality sound depending on the quality of the output device. The most impressive part of HTC is that the 8X will be the signature device that reflects the image of Windows Phone 8. The Company expects that they will be able to release these models in the next month and are hoping for Smartphone OS as third platform.
Microsoft is focusing to provide the best quality mobile phone to gain competitive advantage and stay ahead in the market with positive footprints that benefit the Windows phone.
