Cloud-based managed services refer to a wide range of services that help enterprises to regulate, monitor, and improve IT infrastructure. These services are cost-effective, offer reduced inventory, and hence, are highly sought after by organizations to develop an economical IT infrastructure. The recent growth in cloud automation has led to an alignment of business needs with IT by increasing the delivery speed of services for end-users. Cloud automation enables the intelligent usage of data center infrastructure, thereby simplifying the deployment of sophisticated services across data centers. High demand for cloud-based mobility services will boost the growth of the global cloud-based managed services market. Many organizations prefer managed services over traditional services due to benefits such as reduced IT cost and risk sharing. Cloud-based managed services help to reduce CAPEX for organizations and free up internal resources for core business functions.

Dell’s Enterprise Business to be Renamed EMC Dell

Being in the business for 32 years, Dell has renamed its family of businesses as Dell Technologies. Dell’s brands such as SecureWorks, Virtustream, RSA, EMC, Pivotal, and VMWare will now be known under one umbrella: Dell Technologies. EMC is soon getting acquired by Dell and will be known as EMC Dell. Last October, Dell confirmed this biggest technology acquisition deal worth US$67 billion. At the EMC World Conference today, CEOs of both the companies discussed about their priorities. EMC needs to modernize its data centre and balance both of its off-premise cloud storage and existing on-premise enterprise business. EMC has declared 2016 as the Year of All-Flash for primary storage. The EMC Unity family of storage has been introduced for addressing storage requirements of small and medium-size IT deployments. This new product addition in EMC’s portfolio is available in hybrid and software-defined configurations.
