Cox Automotive has announced David Doolittle as vice president of the newly created division – Communications & Community Relations. The company is looking to improve its industry visibility and market reach and it has only recently developed a new portfolio of over 20 prominent brands. These brands represent all that is new in the world of automobiles, and the innovative ways in which people buy, sell, and own cars.
Some of the main responsibilities that Doolittle will have to engage himself in include Cox Automotive’s plans to partner with customers in order to grow their business, revolutionize consumer experience, and create for its employees a unique and innovation-driven environment which encourages community giving.
Chief executive officer of Cox Automotive Sandy Schwartz stated that the company is growing and as every new organization expands it becomes necessary to establish one voice and one representative who can clearly communicate the value and strength of the company’s brands as well as the products and services that Cox Automotive delivers. The fact that Doolittle has an experience of 20 years in the field of communication and his leadership skills and style suits the company’s principles is an advantage that will help the organization build strong brands and help to tell the firm’s story in a more effective manner.
David Doolittle will be joining Cox Automotive after leaving Newell Rubbermaid, a consumer products marketer. At Newell Rubbermaid Doolittle was vice president of global communications and he helped strengthen employee and consumer relations across the firm’s more than 30 brands in 100 odd countries across the globe.
