England based auto supplier Delphi Automotive PLC on Monday stated that its chairman since 2009 “Jack” Krol will step down from his post on the 1st of March this year. His position as board chairman will be substituted by Rajiv L Gupta. The company, headquartered in Gillingham in Kent, United Kingdom, has a massive presence in Troy.
Delphi also announced that the firm’s chief operating officer Kevin P Clark will be joining the organization board on the 1st of March. This will coincide with the appointment of Kevin as president and chief executive officer of Delphi Automotive. On March 1, 2015, the current president and chief executive officer Rodney O’ Neal will retire from his post.
Former chief executive officer of BorgWarner Inc. Timothy M Manganello had retired from his post in the year 2012 and Delphi announced that he too will be joining the board on the same day as Kevin Clark and Jack Krol.
Seventy eight year old Jack Krol was earlier the chief executive officer and chairman of E I du Pont de Nemours and Company. Until the annual Deplhi shareholders’ meeting in April 23, Krol will stay a part of the company board of directors. In a regulatory filing, Delphi Automotive stated that Jack Krol had decided against seeking re-election to the board of directors and this was not because of differences with the firm’s practices, operations, or policies.
Sixty nine year old Rajiv Gupta has been the chief executive officer and chairman of Rohm and Haas Co. he has also been a part of the board at Delphi’s since the November of 2009.
