The First Vitara from Suzuki Rolls off the Assembly Line in Hungary

Suzuki has started manufacturing the it all new SUV Vitara at the company’s plant based in Esztergom in Hungary. The first production model of the car was driven off the assembly line by the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban. The Minister did the same thing in the year 2000 with the Wagon R+ in the year 2010 same was done was the third generation vehicle Swift and in the year 2013 with the car SX-4 S Cross.

This ceremony was also attended by the Chairman of Suzuki Motor Corp. and the CEO Osamu Suzuki. According to Magyar Suzuki, they plan to produce around 70,000 new SUV Vitaras during their first year of manufacturing and rely on 74 Hungarian suppliers to achieve this. The plant’s total production capacity is anticipated to reach around 165,000 units during this year.

This new Vitara is going to be exported not only to the European market but to other markets as well, more than 70 in total. According to Magyar Suzuki, they aim to increase the number of their export target countries to a total of 100 in the 3 years.

This new SUV by Suzuki is already available for sale in dealership in Hungary and many other European nations. Based on the brand new platform the care is equipped with new features, and considered as an important model for the brand in the European region.

The model comes with two engines in total with a capacity of 1.6 liter petrol and 1.6 liter diesel. Together, the engines produce 120PS.
