The food and drink buyers’ event will be held between March 22 and 28 in Ireland. It is the biggest marketplace 2015. It will be in collaboration with the Irish food and drink industry.
This will be a weeklong business event that aims to develop healthy relationships with foodservice buyers, retailers, distributors and ingredient buyers from all over the world.
The six months of strategic planning has made the event the largest international food buyer event. It will be staged in Ireland with all the glamour and attention. There are more than 30 countries planning to travel to this event to enjoy Irish food and drinks and meet new producers.
In addition, the export markets – Continental Europe and the UK have secured food and drinks buyers from many countries such as Saudi Arabia, Algeria, South Africa, the UAE, Australia, China, Bahrain, Singapore, Indonesia, and Japan.
There are more than 100 delegates traveling from Asia to this event. It also includes the largest Chinese trade delegation with registered buyers representing the dairy, pigmeat, beef, and lamb sector, Bord Bia said.
The Chief Executive of Aidan Cotter said this event is the largest food and drinks event in Ireland. It offers immense opportunity to exhibit the depth and capabilities and has facilitated to build a €10.5 billion export platform. It plans to reach out to 175 markets in the world.
The international buyers plan to visit the manufacturing facilities, factories, farms in the country as a part of the itinerary. The visitors will also meet relevant stakeholders from different departments such as Food Health Ireland, Food and the Marine, Irish Dairy Board, the Department of Agriculture, Teagasc, and IDIA.
