The leading telecom provider in the Middle East and one of the most prominent names in the MPLS Networking Services in the GCC region, Tawasul Telecom recently entered into a cooperative partnership agreement with one of the leading information and communication service providers in the world, China Unicom (United Network Communications Group Co). The agreement was signed formally by representative from both the companies at the Capacity Middle East event which was organized at Grand Hyatt hotel in Dubai. The event was arranged by Tawasul and it went for two days from 10th March to 12th March.
Chief Officer for Marketing and Strategy at Tawasul Telecom, Salem Almulaifi, during the event said that they were delighted to announce the new strategic partnership at one the largest telecom events that the world hosts. He also revealed Tawasul pursued the agreement in order to benefit from the vast network, technical expertise, and the proud history of China Mobile.
Moving ahead with the event, Salem Almulaifi also confirmed, Tawasul is considering the partnership to be a great achievement that the company has locked at the beginning of the year. It is an accomplishment for the company, since the agreement will foster better opportunity for Tawasul to transcend geographical boundaries to explore its business across the lucrative Asian Markets.
On behalf of China Unicom, Phyllis Yeung, Vice President for Emerging Markets, Department of International Carrier Business, Hong Kong, China Unicom said, the partnership with Tawasul was a well thought after decision taken by the company. China Unicom is eyeing to explore the opportunities at the emerging markets, particularly in the Middle East, and Tawasul is one of the most prominent entities in the MENA region.
