US government Announced a Delay in the HealthCare.gov Enrollment

Published Date : Dec 27, 2013

The US government declared that small time firms will have to wait for the enrollment in the newly launched HealthCare.gov insurance scheme.

The government announced on Wednesday that until November 2014, small businesses will be delayed in their enrollments in the new health exchanges. However, the online enrollment in the country was expected to start this month.

Also, the Affordable Care Act better known as Obamacare is aimed at averting such similar problems for consumers. And since 1 October, 2013 the system of paper forms is in place and will continue to enroll in the Small Business Health Options Program, says Julie Bataille, the director of the Office of Communications for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Clyburn also mentioned that President Barack Obama will recuperate the integrity caused by the technical problems affected by the system.

Nevertheless, the businesses will be able to enroll into the program through different brokers and agents, or perhaps through an insurer in the country.

In addition, Bataille also added that many people today are served by the brokers and agents in the market. It is however possible for the smaller businesses to claim tax benefits while filing their taxes.
