Smoking tobacco Hungary provides an in-depth and strategic analysis of the market for RYO/MYO tobacco markets. The report establishes market size and structure, analyses trends and developments for the last 13 years with forecasts to 2022. Detailed information is provided on consumption trends, grey market, product availability and development, retail pricing, taxation rates and structures, manufacturer positioning and share, brand ownership and share, national production and trade data and trends, key operating constraints and future potential, including forecasts.
As recently as 2006 smoking tobacco accounted for only about 10% of the overall tobacco products market; by 2012 this proportion was up to almost 24%, with per capita consumption of 385g.
Over the next 10 years sales of HRT are, however, forecast to decline as the price differential between hand rolled cigarettes and manufactured cigarettes, particularly value cigarettes, narrows. Furthermore, changes to the retailing system for tobacco, to come into effect in July 2013, will greatly limit supply.
