In 2013 Confused.com saw its revenues increase by 6%. Its profit before tax rose 19.2% year-on-year, despite the increasingly competitive nature of the UK comparison market.
As a whole, Admiral's international operations continue to struggle. Its operations in France, Italy, and Spain recorded a combined loss of 11.7m in 2013.
Although still heavily focused on motor insurance, Admiral has begun to diversify its portfolio and has been operating its own underwritten household insurance product in the UK since December 2012.
