Basic economic indicators reveal that the industrial production, exports and personal consumption continued to increase into the first half of 2015. However, personal consumption of food and drinks showed modest growth rates. The 2015 tourist season showed excellent results and Croatia registered the highest number of tourist arrivals in the last two decades, this transferred into above average tourist expenditure in all industries which are connected to tourism. The same is the case for the food and drinks industry, all commercial beverages, except for tea which is consumed during winter, experienced very good sales results.

Key Findings
Phenomenal summer weather resulted in an excellent tourist season, which pushed soft drinks into positive territory, but the domestic consumption is still at modest levels

Within all commercial beverages, beer and bulk/HOD water recorded the greatest growth, while in the soft drinks market packaged water and carbonates profited the most

Tiny categories, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, showed huge growth rates as a result of above average tourist consumption
