Combined ACB categories managed an increase in Q4-15, mainly driven by hot coffee and price driven white milk. Soft drinks were flat for the quarter and the year in general. Volumes were affected by carbonates and squash/syrups. Volumes of both condensed and evaporated milk have benefited from TV cooking shows. Disappointing weather in Q3 was a major cause for disappointing soft drink sales during the year.

Key Findings
Market growth benefited from the increased focus on sugar and was also helped, to an extent, by water enhancers

Beer sales were reported to have enjoyed a sizeable spike in sales following the international rugby competition which culminated at the end of October

The hot tea category suffered on-going losses for the year, in both volume and value terms
