Almost all soft drinks categories saw a decrease in consumption, besides energy drinks and iced/RTD coffee drinks, driven by the decline of consumers real disposable income in the reality of significant Ruble devaluation. However, with the recently emerging trend of GDP decrease slowdown and partial inflation stabilization, packaged water managed to demonstrate a lesser decline in Q2-16. At the same time, juice, nectars and still drinks showed a cumulative negative performance driven by retracted consumers demand caused by retail price elevation due to increased prices on imported concentrates. Iced/RTD tea drinks also continued its negative trend driven by elevated retail prices for leading multinational brands that hampered consumer demand.
